Dietary supplement containing ferrous bisglycinate with folic acid useful in cases of iron deficiency. A lack of iron is the most common nutritional deficiency since it is widespread among people of all ages, sex and socioeconomic class.
Ferrous bisglycinate is well tolerated by the body to the extent that is has been called the "gentle iron". In fact it does not cause digestive intolerances, constipation, nausea or burning sensations in the stomach - conditions that affect individuals who supplement their diet with this mineral.
Thanks to the original chelation with the amino acid glycine, it is particularly bioavailable and well tolerated. The drink is recommended in cases of anaemia, even for delicate individuals such as adolescents, pregnant women and the elderly. The innovative source used also ensures that the product has a high compliance rate: it has no unpleasant "iron aftertaste" typical of iron-based syrups, and does not cause digestive bloating.

A particularly bioavailable source of iron since it makes use of numerous amino acid transporters so that it can be assimilated by the body.
The iron component of ferrous bisglycinate is metabolized like any other source of iron, while the free amino acid (glycine), after dissociation, enters into normal metabolic processes.
Recommended iron intake varies by age (children and adults) and gender (male and female). While men tend to have a steady requirement, menstruating, pregnant, and lactating women tend to need much more.
